Home Theater
The theater experience depends as much on what we hear as what we see to create a feeling of Realism.  A Home Theater re-creates "Live Theater" Sound in your home, complementing your television and audio/video component system with and Enveloping sound field that delivers the realism and impact of a larger theater.    Home Theater systems work by re-creating the Sonic information that makes a live event seem "Live," including the sound that comes from above, beside and behind you.  This "Surround Sound" information is encoded onto your DVDs, Tapes, and broadcast /Cable TV/Satellite signals and is retrieved by the surround processing in a modern A/V Receiver Amplifier.  These Receiver-Amplifiers have at least five dedicated channels, or amplifiers, to re-creat the sound information.    A "typical" installed  5.1 Home Theater Audio System consists of the following dedicated speakers, locations and related products:

* Left and Right Front Channel Speakers set the sound  stage, providing width and space.
* Center Channel Speaker provides focus, clarity and detail for dialogue effects.
* Left and Right Rear Surround Sound Channel speakers provide depth and a feeling of spaciousness, by extending the sound  field around and even behind you.
* Subwoofer provides deep bass in movies with special effects such  as rumbling thunder, rocket launch and explosions.
* Dedicated A/V Receiver Amplifier with adequate Power to drive the speakers for peek performance. with decoding formats to play (Dolby Digital, DTS, Logic 7, Stereo etc...)
